This measure is not an isolated innovation, but a direct response to European Union requirements and a key element in the continent's sustainability strategy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4f9b758 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4f9b758\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3 data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:51\">Alignment with Europe: The Waste Directive<\/h3><p>This new fee, included in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pactomundial.org\/leyes-directivas-normativas-sostenibilidad\/ley-7-2022-de-8-de-abril-de-residuos-y-suelos-contaminados-para-una-economia-circular\/\"><strong>Law 7\/2022<\/strong><\/a>seeks to align Spain with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.miteco.gob.es\/es\/ceneam\/carpeta-informativa-del-ceneam\/novedades\/objetivos-ue-economia-circular.html\">objectives of the European Union<\/a> on waste management<\/strong>. In particular, it is based on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/doc.php?id=DOUE-L-2018-80998\">Directive (EU) 2018\/851<\/a>amending the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/doc.php?id=DOUE-L-2008-82319\">Directive 2008\/98\/EC<\/a>on Waste (hereinafter referred to as the \"Amended Waste Directive\")<\/strong>.
