Bogota, Colombia - July 31, 2025

On July 25 and 26, Bogota was the scene of unique experiences in flavor, creativity and liquid culture with the second edition of the Mixéalo FestThe event brought together renowned exponents of the cocktail industry and specialized brands in an open-air fair format.

The Parque Museo del Chicó became the meeting point for lovers of premium cocktails, where attendees were able to enjoy exhibitions, tastings, exclusive launches and a program that exalted the art of masterful mixing.

In this issue, Global Zero Waste is proud to announce that the event MIXEALO FEST 2025 has been recognized as a Zero Waste Event, achieving an outstanding score of 96.58 points out of 100, according to the requirements of the International Zero Waste Event Standard. This production was led by Páramo Presents and Global Wine & Spirits (GWS)under the direction of Catalina Orjuela (Sustainability Director of Páramo Presenta) and Daniela Hernandez (Administrative Coordinator of GWS), marking a milestone in the events industry in Colombia and the region for its exceptional commitment to sustainability and the circular economy.

This recognition is the result of outstanding planning and precise execution of innovative logistics strategies, in collaboration with strategic partner Luup S.A.S.led by its Commercial and Project Director, Diego Cortés Cubilloswho was a key player in the operation and implementation of all waste management initiatives. Each phase, from pre-production to post-event, was developed under the highest standards of circularity.

One of the most effective strategies was the implementation of the Ecoguardians team, sustainability ambassadors who played a key role in the direct communication of the event's objectives. Their pedagogical and guiding work was essential to ensure proper separation of waste at the source, maximizing the purity of the materials recovered.

Also noteworthy is the participation of the program headed by Pazosferathrough its Liberty-Es initiative, in alliance with the Transforming Freedom Foundationwhich promotes the inclusion of people in the process of social reintegration. Women and men who, after serving their sentences, are now actively involved in various projects, contributing not only to the success of waste management, but also to the strengthening of social justice, resilience and equity processes.

The success of Mixealo Fest 2025 was also based on the intensive use of reusable materials, minimizing waste generation from the outset and significantly reducing the use of single-use materials. This strategy demonstrated that it is possible to generate memorable experiences with a minimal environmental footprint.

In addition, the recycling of all usable waste was guaranteed, achieving a recovery percentage higher than the industry average and aligned with the criteria established by the International Zero Waste Events Standard. The most outstanding achievement was the reduction to zero of solid waste sent to final disposal, a result that highlights the operational efficiency and commitment of all the stakeholders involved.

The logistics operation included a constant and exhaustive verification of the Integrated Solid Waste Management processes, starting from the pre-production phase and reinforced during the event. At the end of the event, a detailed waste characterization was carried out in order to identify opportunities for improvement to further reduce the volumes destined for energy recovery or co-processing in future editions.

On this milestone, our CEO Sandra Pinzón expressed:

"The recognition of Mixealo Fest 2025 with the Gold category under the International Standard Zero Waste Events, and with an exceptional score of 96.58%, represents much more than a technical achievement: it is the concrete manifestation that the events industry in Latin America and the world is ready to lead profound transformations towards real sustainability.

From Global Zero WasteWe celebrate the commitment, thoroughness and innovation with which Páramo Presents, GWS and Luup S.A.S. took on this challenge.

In particular, I highlight the human value behind this result: the Ecoguardianes team and the active inclusion of people in the process of social reintegration demonstrate that the circular economy can also be a vehicle for justice, equity and hope.

This milestone inspires us to continue to promote higher standards, with the conviction that a waste-free future is possible, measurable and replicable."

Global Zero Waste extends its most sincere congratulations to the entire Global Zero Waste team. Páramo Presents, Global Wine & Spirits (GWS), Luup S.A.S.to the Ecoguardians, suppliers, assistants and to all those who made a difference. Mixealo Fest 2025 a true benchmark for sustainability and circular economy in the events industry.
