Last August 15, Cali-Valley Promo received the Zero Waste Management System Certification (SGZW) in category Goldgranted by ICONTEC and Global Zero Waste, becoming the most important first public utilities companies in Colombia,  to achieve it.

On behalf of his team, we would like to highlight Angélica María Delgado Arbeláez (Manager), Edgar Cataño Sánchez (Sustainability Director), Pablo Alejandro Montoya Daza (Administrative Coordinator), Ángela María Mendoza Ledezma (Director of Management Systems) and Angélica Carvajal Soto (Environmental Analyst).

Its commitment to waste reduction, reuse and recovery demonstrates that urban sustainability can be a reality.

UPB: University innovation that transforms waste into opportunities

The Pontificia Bolivariana University (UPB)in alliance with Green Fabric and RECIMED, drives the reuse of advertising tarpaulins to create sustainable products.
This initiative, led by the #UPBSustainable, gives a second life to materials that were previously considered waste, transforming them into useful and durable items.

In addition to promoting the circular economy, the project supports processes of labor inclusion and encourages the work with local communities to strengthen the social fabric.

Plaza de las Américas: responsible management at the service of the city

The Plaza de las Americas Shopping Center obtained the Gold Certification of the SGZW, after reaching a sustainable disposal of 69 % of its wastes, equivalent to more than 625.5 tons responsibly managed.

This achievement reaffirms its leadership as a benchmark in the implementation of circular strategies within the commercial sector, contributing to a more sustainable and conscious Bogota.
