Data processing policy
What data Global Zero Waste collects, what for, how long it is kept and how to exercise the rights granted by Colombian Law 1581 of 2012.
Version v1, under review by Global Zero Waste’s legal officer. It is the operative version: it is the text each form stores as accepted, and its number lives in the site settings.
This policy explains how Corporación Global Zero Waste processes the personal data you provide through this portal, in accordance with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 and Circular 02/2015 of the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce.

Data we collect
From the contact form: first and last name, email address, telephone (optional), organisation, role, sector, country and message. And minimal technical data: the language of the visit, campaign parameters and a hashed summary of your IP address — never the IP in clear text.
Purposes
To handle your request; to send you information about Zero Waste certification and our programmes; and to produce aggregate statistics on portal usage, the latter only if you accept measurement cookies.
Your rights
As the data subject you may access, update, rectify and delete your data, and withdraw your authorisation, by writing to the contact email (articles 8, 14 and 15 of Law 1581). We reply within ten (10) working days.
Cookies
We use necessary first-party cookies — the campaign attribution session and your cookie preference — and measurement cookies (Google Analytics 4) ONLY if you accept them in the banner. You can change that choice at any time from “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
Embedded videos
Some pages show videos hosted on YouTube. Loading the page does NOT contact Google: you only see a thumbnail served by this site. If you press play, that click loads the youtube-nocookie.com player and, from that moment, Google may store data on your device and learn your IP address.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as the purpose for which it was collected lasts, or until you ask us to delete it.
Transfers
Our infrastructure provider (server); Google (GA4) if you accept measurement cookies; and Google (YouTube) only if you play an embedded video. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties.
