Zero Waste Certification in Peru

The strategic alliance will give Peruvian companies access to the international Zero Waste Management System (SGZW) standard to accelerate their circular economy and sustainability goals.

LIMA, Peru — September 21, 2026

With the aim of transforming integrated solid waste management in Peru’s productive sector, Syntropia Consulting S.A.C. and Global Zero Waste (GZW) announced the signing of a strategic collaboration agreement. Through this alliance, Syntropia takes on the role of accredited consultancy to support public and private organizations in Peru in the design, implementation and preparation for the official certification of their Zero Waste Management Systems (SGZW).

The Zero Waste Management System model drives companies to move from a linear scheme to a truly circular one, integrating the hierarchy of the 9Rs (Refuse, Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Restore, Remanufacture, Repurpose and Recycle). The central goal is to minimize waste generation, optimize operational efficiency and bring materials back into productive or value cycles.

This synergy places the Peruvian market in an optimal position to adopt high environmental standards, responding to the growing global demand for sustainable business models, regulatory compliance and verifiable ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) metrics.

In turn, adopting the international SGZW standard will help local industries prepare their facilities, processes or specific waste streams for independent third-party audits carried out by Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs).
