Zeros and IQA alliance strengthens Zero Waste Certification

The formalisation of the alliance between Zeros and the Instituto da Qualidade Automotiva (IQA) marks a decisive step in consolidating Zero Waste Management System (SGZW) Certification. The official announcement was made during a virtual event streamed on YouTube, with the participation of directors from both institutions and from Hyundai Motor Brasil, an affiliated client and a pioneer in the automotive sector.

Under this agreement, IQA joins as a certification body officially accredited to audit the model developed by Zeros, which is strictly aligned with the international technical criteria of Global Zero Waste (GZW). The collaboration raises the reliability of assessments, ensuring that circular economy principles are applied systematically, auditably and transparently.

A step up in quality for industrial waste management

The Zero Waste Management System Certification recognises organisations that implement a structured approach to preventing waste generation and maximising the return of materials to new production cycles.

The assessment model covers key criteria such as:

• Prevention and process redesign: removing non-recirculable materials from the operational stage onwards.

• Organic and technical recovery: advanced composting, recycling and input recovery strategies.

• Reverse logistics and innovation: material return models and efficiency in the flow of inputs.
