New organisations begin their journey towards implementing the Zero Waste Management System in 2026

The following organisations have begun their journey towards implementing the Zero Waste model, bringing in practices geared towards reducing waste and strengthening the circular economy in their processes.

• Zijin – Continental Gold: A mining company dedicated to the exploration, extraction and processing of minerals, seeking to strengthen the responsible management of resources and improve the environmental performance of its operations.
• Gobernación del Tolima: The public body responsible for the administration of the department of Tolima, which promotes initiatives geared towards sustainable development, environmental management and the implementation of circular economy models across the territory.
• Flor Suprema: A food-sector company dedicated to producing and marketing wheat-based products, with a focus on process efficiency and responsible material management.
• Buencafé: A company specialising in the production of freeze-dried coffee, internationally recognised for its innovation and for the added value it brings to the Colombian coffee production chain.

• Colombiana de Escenarios S.A.S. – Movistar Arena: A multipurpose venue for cultural and entertainment events, making headway in the implementation of sustainable practices geared towards integral waste management, plastic reduction and the promotion of the circular economy in its operations.

• Gimnasio Moderno: An educational institution committed to well-rounded education and sustainability, which drives waste management and environmental education initiatives within its academic community.

• ACP Whirlpool Industrial SAS: An industrial-sector company dedicated to manufacturing household appliances, working on optimising its production processes through waste reduction and material recovery strategies under circular economy principles.

Thanks to joint work with Zeros, Global Zero Waste's strategic partner in Brazil, new companies from the industrial and production sectors have also begun their process of implementing the Zero Waste model.

• Greenbrier Maxion: An industrial company dedicated to the design and manufacture of railway components, including wheels and wagons for rail transport systems.

• Camil Alimentos S.A: A multinational food-sector company focused on the production and marketing of rice, grains and mass-consumption food products.

• Papirus Indústria de Papel S.A: A company specialising in the production of cardboard and packaging solutions, with a focus on recyclable materials and sustainable practices.

• Hitachi Energy Brasil: A global corporation developing technological and industrial solutions in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, transport and digital systems.

• Yamaha Motor: A world-leading company in the manufacture of motorcycles, engines and musical products, recognised for its technological innovation and industrial development.
