An event that connected continents
Global Zero Waste continues to strengthen its presence at sustainability events. On this occasion we took part as strategic partners of the Zero Waste Forum, a space that brings together leaders and organisations committed to the transition towards a circular economy.
Our CEO, Sandra Pinzón, represented us at this important world forum on sustainability and waste management, held in Istanbul, Türkiye, consolidating partnerships and reaffirming our commitment to implementing our Zero Waste Standard nationally and internationally.
Between 17 and 19 October 2025, the Zero Waste Forum took place in Istanbul, Türkiye, organised by the Zero Waste Foundation under the presidency of Emine Erdoğan, First Lady of Türkiye.
This international forum brought together leaders, governments and sustainability experts to drive global cooperation around the circular economy and Zero Waste strategies.
💬 “We do not have a second agenda, only one: Zero Waste.”
— Samed Ağırbaş, words that — as Sandra Pinzón noted — summed up the spirit of the gathering: collective action around a shared purpose.
The voice of Global Zero Waste, present:
💬 “Power does not come from economic resources alone, but from the true and genuine intention to make a difference, to take decisive steps towards tangible solutions.” — Sandra Pinzón
After such an important forum, Sandra stressed the importance of collaboration as a roadmap, highlighting that the Zero Waste movement transforms not only production models but also the ways we think and relate to our surroundings.
💬 “In a global context, every voice counts, every action adds up and we all have a role to play.” — Sandra Pinzón.
International partnerships
During the forum, strategic partnerships were built with global organisations, strengthening the ties of cooperation between Europe, Latin America and Asia to keep moving towards a more sustainable and circular future.
💬 “The roadmap is collaboration. Only by working together can we turn sustainability into measurable, real action.” — Sandra Pinzón
