Brazil moves firmly towards sustainability: 6 new organisations certified in Zero Waste
In this article
The Zero Waste model continues to establish itself as a key tool for business transformation in Latin America, and Brazil is positioning itself as one of the regional leaders in its expansion. We closed the first half of 2025 celebrating an important achievement: six organisations from a range of sectors have obtained Zero Waste Management System certification, joining a circular economy and efficient management of materials and waste.
This progress has been possible thanks to joint work with our strategic partner ZEROS, whose work has been fundamental to the expansion of the model in the country. From adapting the methodology to local reality through to linking up with different Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs), ZEROS has allowed more Brazilian companies to access concrete tools for reducing impacts, increasing efficiency and demonstrating their commitment to sustainability.

We congratulate the following organisations on obtaining Zero Waste certification in their respective categories:

ZEROS and Global Zero Waste: a strategic partnership to transform the present
Since January 2025, the Strategic Partnership between Global Zero Waste and ZEROS has driven the expansion of the Zero Waste Management System in Brazil. This collaboration brings together the technical and methodological experience of two benchmarks of the Zero Waste movement, with the aim of:
Promoting the adoption of the Zero Waste model in companies of every size and sector.
Supporting certification processes with an educational, practical approach adapted to the Brazilian context.
Accelerating the transition towards circular economies in the region.
Thanks to this joint work, Brazil already has more than 21 affiliated organisations and 27 facilities signed up to the Zero Waste Management System, becoming a regional example of environmental commitment.
Join the change
In a context where waste management has become a key factor in business competitiveness, the Zero Waste model offers a clear roadmap for improving operational efficiency, reducing impacts and strengthening corporate reputation.
At Global Zero Waste, we celebrate and recognise the effort of these organisations that stand out today for their environmental leadership. We invite more companies to join this conscious transformation, aligned with the principles of the circular economy and continuous improvement.
